Removal Of Old Jetty Piles At Kettering

Project Requirements

Removal of the old timber fuel jetty at the Southern end of the Oyster Cover Marina.

Special Considerations

These pilings were deeply sunk and had been there for a long time. A lot of effort would need to be spent on each one to extract it from the seabed in which it was firmly stuck. Also, working in and around other moored and moving vessels presented a further hazard we had to be ever conscious of.

Project Outcome

While extracting the piles proved a challenge we finally proved succesful with a tick of approval from the customer.
